Job DescriptionThe Opportunity:
Are you ready to jumpstart your career in fashion? This role is your springboard into the world of fashion buying. As a Product Assistant, you'll gain hands-on experience creating purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, and managing key product information, all while being exposed to product selection and developing a strong sense of fashion aesthetics. You'll work closely with the fashion buying team and report to a Product Manager and play an essential role in bringing collections to life.
What you'll do:
- Create purchase orders and follow up on status
- Assist with preparing best-seller lists, learning how product performance and fit influence buying decisions
- Review product samples, labels, and marketing materials to ensure accuracy, building attention to detail and industry knowledge
- Maintain and update key documentation, including lookbooks and purchase order records, while learning how information drives business decisions
- Manage and organize product information within internal systems, gaining hands-on experience with tools used in fashion operations
- Prepare materials for and participate in team meetings, supporting the flow of communication between buying and product development
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, contributing to how the team operates efficiently
Who you are:
- College diploma in Fashion Merchandising or related field of study
- Minimum 1-year related experience
- Excellent sense of style and knowledge of fashion trends
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Good understanding of competitive landscape and trends
- Bilingual
