Overview

We're a fast-growing healthcare startup, and we're looking for a pharmacist manager who thrives in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment. This isn't your typical pharmacy role, most of our patients come through our telehealth platform. Volumes will start slow and increase, so you'll need to be adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working in situations that can sometimes feel unstructured. If you're energized by variety, problem-solving on the fly, and helping to shape processes in a startup, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately review, interpret, and verify prescriptions and physician orders.
  • Prepare and dispense medications.
  • Provide patient education on the proper use of medication, potential side effects, and potential interactions.
  • Support telehealth services by counseling patients virtually and managing medication queries online.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care plans.
  • Maintain thorough, accurate records and ensure compliance with OCP regulatory standards.
  • Manage logistics of shipping and distribution of medications.
  • Step into varied and sometimes undefined tasks as needed to support operations.
  • Share feedback to improve systems and workflows as we scale.

What We're Looking For

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a pharmacist; management experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of OCP regulations and standards of practice.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy management systems (e.g., Kroll).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient care and team collaboration.
  • Experience in startup or telehealth settings is a plus.
  • Background in women's health (menopause), men's health (testosterone), or weight management is an asset.
  • Experience with compounding and sterile compounding is an asset.
  • A flexible, solutions-oriented mindset, you're calm under pressure, and enjoy problem-solving.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Approximately 20 hours per week.
  • Competitive hourly compensation based on experience.
  • Opportunity to increase hours or transition to full-time as the pharmacy grows.

Pay: $60.00-$70.00 per hour
