Position Summary
The Events & Catering Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all Club events, banquets, and private functions. This role ensures that every event is delivered at the highest standard of service, aligning with the Club's commitment to excellence. The Events & Catering Manager will work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager, Culinary Team, and other departments to provide seamless service and memorable member and guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Event Planning & Execution
- Manage all aspects of Club-hosted and member-sponsored events, including weddings, banquets, meetings, tournaments, and social functions.
- Conduct detailed event consultations with members and clients to understand requirements, budgets, and expectations.
- Develop customized event proposals, contracts, and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
- Oversee event setup, service, and breakdown to ensure flawless execution.
- Catering & Sales
- Promote the Club's catering services to members and prospective clients.
- Act as primary contact for all event inquiries, conducting tours and showcasing facilities.
- Prepare timely and accurate proposals, contracts, and billing summaries.
- Monitor event profitability and contribute to revenue growth.
- Leadership & Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to ensure staff scheduling and training meet event demands.
- Lead pre-event meetings with service and culinary teams to review details and expectations.
- Provide on-site event leadership, addressing issues proactively and ensuring member satisfaction.
- Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of contracts, event details, and financial performance.
- Track and analyze event feedback to recommend improvements.
- Assist the Food & Beverage Manager with forecasting and budgeting as it relates to events and catering.
Qualifications & Skills
- Post-secondary education in Hospitality, Event Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in events, catering, or hospitality management.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships.
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Financial acumen in event budgeting and cost control.
