Overview

We are seeking a friendly and attentive Breakfast Attendant to join our Wingate team. This role is vital in providing guests with a warm, welcoming experience during breakfast hours. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Previous experience in restaurant, catering, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary and customer service skills in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up breakfast buffet or menu items according to established standards
  • Ensure food presentation is appealing and meets safety guidelines
  • Replenish food stations and maintain cleanliness throughout the shift
  • Assist guests with food selections, answer questions about menu items, and provide exceptional guest service
  • Clear tables, bussing dishes promptly and efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, kitchen stations, and equipment in compliance with health regulations
  • Follow food safety protocols including proper food handling, sanitation, and storage procedures
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy breakfast hours

Skills

  • Previous experience in food service, catering, or hospitality environments is advantageous
  • Knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and safety standards
  • Strong communication skills and phone etiquette for guest interactions
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic cleaning and bussing skills to maintain cleanliness standards
  • Experience with dietary accommodations or special dietary needs is beneficial
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a hospitality setting
