Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Supervisor to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Shift Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure that our food preparation meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

Duties

  • Supervise kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient operations during shifts
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and presentation standards
  • Manage the Point of Sale (POS) system, including cash handling and transaction accuracy
  • Provide training and guidance to new employees on food handling, safety protocols, and customer service best practices
  • Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new team members
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues to ensure a positive dining experience
  • Collaborate with management to implement strategies for improving service efficiency and guest satisfaction

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar supervisory role within the food industry
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
  • Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
  • Previous experience in interviewing, training, or mentoring staff is advantageous
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
