Kaloya Drywall Ltd is a well-established drywall contracting company operated directly by the owner and supported by subcontractors.We deliver high-quality, reliable work across residential and commercial projects.
We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Bookkeeper / Office Administrator to manage financial operations and support project efficiency. This role is essential to keeping the business running smoothly and is offered as a work-from-home position with flexibility.
Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Financial Management
· Full-cycle bookkeeping including journal entries, bank and credit card reconciliation
· Accounts Receivable: tracking receivables, sending statements, and following up on overdue accounts
· Accounts Payable: processing vendor invoices, subcontractor invoices, and credit card statements
· Client invoicing, including progress billing and final billing
Payroll & Contractor Management
· Bi-weekly payroll for 2 employees on payroll
· Subcontractor payment processing and record-keeping
· Preparing year-end documentation (T4s, T5018s if applicable)
Tax & Compliance
· GST returns and remittances
· Payroll tax submissions
· Coordinating required documents for corporate tax filings
· WCB reporting and payments
Project & Operational Support
· Tracking project budgets, costs, and progress
· Maintaining organized job folders and project documentation
· Communicating with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients as needed
Qualifications
· 2+ years bookkeeping or office administration experience (construction industry experience an asset)
· Strong understanding of AR, AP, payroll, and general accounting
· Experience with progress billing and subcontractor payments
· Proficient with accounting software Sage 50
· Strong Excel proficiency (formulas, hyperlinks, data management)
· Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, owner-operated environment
