An employment opportunity exists for a
TEMPORARY Part-Time FTE) Workplace Math 10, Active Living, 11/12, Learning Commons Multigrade Teacher
effective as soon as possible to the full return of the incumbent or no later than June 30, 2026 at GidGalang Kuuyas Naay Secondary School.

Requirements

  • Understanding and being committed to the calls to action of the Truth and Reconciliation commission, including the eradication of existing and persistent equity gaps for specific groups of children;
  • High level of skills related to successful classroom management, and to the development and maintenance of a positive classroom climate;
  • Experience with multi-grade classes an asset;
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, instruct and evaluate learning activities for students' strengths and for their academic, social, emotional and behavioural needs;
  • Assume responsibility for the development and execution of Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Support Plans;
  • Knowledge of school-based teams;
  • Demonstrated ability in creating safe inclusive learning environments where students are connected, supported, engaged and challenged;
  • Proven interpersonal skills, work ethic and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, education assistants, parents and administrators;
  • Understanding of local resources and environment;
  • Teacher Regulation Branch certification.

Competitive Salary: $56,537 – $97,116 per annum

Remote and Rural Allowance: $2,601 per annum

Travel Allowance: $974 per annum
