As a Health & Safety Project Co-ordinator, you will be essential in promoting a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with safety regulations for our vast number of clients. Reporting to the Safety Manager, you will utilize your core skills in time management and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Your premium skills in safety management and COR certification will enable you to implement effective safety programs and conduct training sessions. By fostering a culture of safety, you will contribute significantly to the organization's commitment to employee well-being and operational excellence of our clients.
Health & Safety Project Co-ordinator:
You will be primarily performing the following tasks:
- Subcontractor Management
- Site inspections
- Toolbox meetings
- Safety meetings
- OHC meetings
- Reviewing completed paperwork using SiteDocs and Corfix
- Coaching workers to influence and foster a positive safety culture
- Incident investigations
- Claims management
- COR preparation
- Project co-ordination as it relates to training, safety procedures and other project specific requirements that relate to safety
- Manage ISN, ComplyWorks, Avetta, etc.
- Any other aspects of managing a safety program for a client, as may be required.

A team player who is willing to pitch in if necessary in other areas of the company. Someone who can work independently, but also as a team. You will be willing to work in a face-paced environment and possibly have the ability to work from home on occasion.
The successful candidate possesses the following attributes and skills:
- Proficient in using the Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
- Email management is a necessity.
- Exceptional people skills
- Flexibility, adaptability, self starting and takes initiative
- The ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Experienced in field safety inspections
- Develop and implement health and safety policies in compliance with regulations.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance safety awareness among employees.
- Monitor workplace conditions and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools for reporting and documentation.
- Manage time effectively to prioritize safety inspections and audits.
- Maintain records of safety incidents and recommend improvements.
- Conduct incident investigation and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct safety orientations.
- Conduct safety meetings (toolbox meetings, safety meetings, OHC meetings)
Required:
- 3+ years of construction safety experience
- Subcontractor management
- Proficient in Word and Excel.
- Proficient in managing multiple email accounts.
- NCSO designation (or working on it).
