Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Veterinarian role located in Calgary, AB. The Veterinarian will provide medical and surgical care to a variety of animal patients, including conducting exams, diagnosing health issues, prescribing treatment, and performing surgeries. Other responsibilities include communicating effectively with pet owners to educate them about their pet's health, maintaining accurate medical records, and contributing to the overall success of the clinic by fostering a positive client and team experience.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in diagnostic assessments, medical treatments, and surgical procedures
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate and collaborate with pet owners
- Ability to provide compassionate care with attention to the well-being and needs of animals
- Organizational and record-keeping skills for maintaining accurate medical documentation
- Current veterinary license in Alberta and adherence to provincial veterinary regulations
- Experience or interest in preventive and advanced veterinary medicine is an asset
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent qualification
