Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a CNC Machinist located in Ottawa, ON. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for operating and programming CNC machines to produce high-precision components. Day-to-day tasks include, programming or modifying existing programs as needed, setting up and maintaining CNC mills and lathes, ensuring quality control during production, and performing routine maintenance for machinery.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in operating and programming CNC milling and lathe machines, including 3, 4, and 5-axis machinery.
  • Knowledge of various materials (plastics, graphite, aluminum, steels, super alloys, and precious metals) and their machining properties.
  • Experience with quality control techniques, including measurement tools.
  • Capability to perform machine setup, troubleshoot issues, and carry out routine maintenance.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with a focus on meeting production deadlines.
  • Previous experience in aerospace or medical components manufacturing is an asset.
  • Relevant technical certification in CNC machining or equivalent experience is an asset.
