We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Support Workers who possess a broad range of skills to provide exceptional care and support to individuals in their homes. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients with their daily activities, promoting their well-being, and ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment.

In addition to traditional home support duties, this position also requires proficiency in personal care tasks.

Main Duties:

  1. Personal Care Assistance: Provide compassionate and personalized assistance with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Assist with mobility, including transferring and positioning clients, while ensuring their safety and comfort.

  2. Medication Management: Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals and assist clients with medication reminders to ensure proper dosage and timing. Adhere to established protocols and accurately document medication administration.

  3. Meal Preparation and Feeding: Plan and prepare nutritious meals based on clients' dietary requirements and preferences. Assist with feeding or provide guidance during mealtime to ensure adequate nutrition and hydration.

  4. Household Management: Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning and organizing clients' living spaces, laundry, and dishwashing. Maintain a safe and sanitary environment for clients.

  5. Companionship and Emotional Support: Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere by engaging in meaningful conversations, providing companionship, and actively listening to clients' concerns. Offer emotional support and reassurance.

  6. Client Safety and Well-being: Regularly assess clients' physical and emotional well-being. Monitor vital signs, observe any changes in health status, and promptly report concerns to appropriate healthcare professionals.

  7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client care activities, including daily care records, incident reports, and any significant changes in clients' conditions. Communicate effectively with the care team and participate in care conferences as needed.

  8. Community Engagement: Accompany clients to medical appointments, social outings, and recreational activities, promoting their independence and engagement in the community. Provide transportation assistance as required.
