With approximately 900 employees, we operate a fleet of 45+ aircraft including the Metro 2, 3, 23, Merlin and Dash 8 aircraft. We are based in Winnipeg and Thompson, Manitoba as well as Sioux Lookout, Timmins, Thunder Bay, and Toronto Ontario. We provide scheduled passenger and freight services to Northern Manitoba and Northern Ontario, 24/7 North American charter services, Medical evacuation services and a full-service maintenance facility including design engineering, NDT, and Garrett turbine engine services.

Position Summary

Reporting to both the Director of Maintenance Operations and the Director of Maintenance Programs, the Maintenance Administrator is responsible for various administrative tasks within the Maintenance department. They create and update maintenance forms as required, maintain electronic and manual filing systems, and prepare maintenance reports for managers.

Provide assistance with compiling statistics, special projects and conducting maintenance research.Create/maintain aircraft maintenance reports using WinAir and MS Excel.Assist managers with documenting investigations and corrective actions relating to SMS reports and audit findingsOrganize, coordinate and schedule travel and accommodations for Maintenance staff.Complete payroll functions for Maintenance departmentCoordinate scheduling of Maintenance meetings/training as requiredAssist with company manual and form amendmentsDocument meeting attendance and minutes at regularly scheduled Maintenance meetingsOversees maintenance contractors and arranges accommodationsPerform additional duties as assignedMinimum Education, Experience and Certifications
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalentPost-secondary education with a minimum of 1-2 years direct administration experience within aviation considered an asset.Previous experience with Aviation Management Software considered an asset (WinAir preferred)Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizationsIndigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an assetWorking Conditions
Physically able to perform all listed job dutiesTravel by aircraft and other means as required by roleManual dexterity required to use desktop computer and telephoneWork performed primarily in an office environment
