Client Service Associate: Planning Associate
Excellent opportunity within the financial services industry for a leading Private Wealth Management practice located in Ontario with a hybrid working model. Looking for a detail oriented financial services professional who is passionate about the financial planning process and serving clients. Individual must be adept at constructing financial plans.
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Gathering and inputting client data and information into financial planning software
- Preparing presentations for client meetings
- Updating clients' plans and monitoring and evaluating as circumstances change
- Identifying opportunities to deepen and solidify the relationship with the client (e.g. insurance, banking, etc.)
- Assisting in the preparation of a prospect or client file prior to meetings
- Sitting second chair in Financial Advisor meetings
- Building relationships with clients either independently or along with the Financial Consultant
- Generating new business opportunities through relationships with current clients and Centers of Influence
- Communicating with clients and facilitating transactions
The appropriate candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Business Administration Diploma or other Postsecondary degree in a relevant business discipline or equivalent experience
- MFDA/AMF or RR IIROC license and Insurance and CFP designation
- Minimum 3 years of industry experience
- Past experience in a role involving financial planning and using financial planning software
- Strong computer skills in the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
In addition, the appropriate candidate will possess the following attributes and will be able to provide examples of how he or she has demonstrated each:
- Self-starter who takes initiative and can work independently
- Problem solver with an ability to anticipate and understand future steps necessary to accomplish tasks
- Critical thinker who can come up with unique ways to solve problems
- Demonstrated track record of helping clients achieve positive outcomes, and attracting referrals, introductions and new business
