About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and experienced
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
to lead financial operations, treasury management, and client advisory across a diverse portfolio of industries. This executive role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in public accounting, financial reporting, tax strategy, and treasury oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Oversight
  • Lead the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment.
  • Treasury & Cash Management
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and working capital optimization. Manage payment processes and banking relationships to ensure efficient and secure financial operations.
  • Investment Strategy Deployment
  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to design and implement investment strategies aligned with risk tolerance, regulatory requirements, and long-term financial goals.
  • Client Advisory & Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, offering insights that drive financial growth, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making.
  • Full Cycle Accounting Supervision
  • Oversee payroll, HST filings, and all core accounting functions, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Tax Strategy & Compliance
  • Direct the preparation of corporate and personal tax returns, and ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Audit & Assurance Leadership

Provide oversight and strategic input into audit engagements, leveraging tools like CaseWare and Taxprep.

  • Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives

Lead or support initiatives such as M&A due diligence, restructuring, financial modeling, and technology adoption.

What We're Looking For

  • Education & Credentials

University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation completed.

  • Experience

Minimum of 7–10 years in public accounting or financial leadership, with proven success in treasury, financial reporting, and client advisory.

  • Technical Expertise

Advanced proficiency in CaseWare, Taxprep, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). Familiarity with full cycle audit and treasury systems is an asset.

  • Leadership & Communication

Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders.

  • Strategic Thinking & Execution

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on long-term financial planning, risk management, and investment strategy.

  • Agility & Accountability

Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
