This contract role supports and coordinates Environmental Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) functions, with a primary focus on special projects at the Stratford facility. Key initiatives include enhancing the Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program, and improving industrial hygiene processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement special EHSS projects, including:
  • Development and rollout of a Lockout/Tagout program
  • Enhancement of industrial hygiene protocols
  • Resolution of audit findings and compliance gaps
  • Support and maintain EHSS programs aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
  • Collaborate with plant leadership to engage employees in EHSS initiatives
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety inspections
  • Ensure regulatory and corporate EHSS compliance
  • Maintain and update EHSS documentation and systems
  • Support Emergency Management Plan compliance
  • Participating on the Joint Health & Safety Committee as a guest
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent certification/experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing environment
  • CRSP certification is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of OHSA and related federal/provincial regulations. Knowledge of OSHA regulations would be beneficial.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 3 - 6 months

Pay: $35.00-$100.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
