Head Shipper

We are a well established structural and miscellaneous steel fabricator located in Surrey, British Columbia. We provide our customers with the structural and miscellaneous steel for various projects in Canada and the United States, including British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, Alaska and Hawaii.

Our business has consistently grown year over year because of the high standards our team holds themselves accountable to. Due to this continued growth, we are currently accepting resumes for our Shipper/Receiver position. This is a full time permanent position with competitive wages, benefits package, employee savings program and other company perks. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 5 years of shipping/receiving experience (experience with structural steel an asset).

Required experience:

  • 5+ years shipping/receiving experience with structural steel
  • Forklift and CombiLift experience, loading/unloading trucks
  • High attention to detail and accuracy

Requirements:

  • Coordinate and prioritize shipping tasks
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Capable of working in a very fast paced environment

  • Experience with structural steel

  • Willing to work overtime when required

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare documentation and maintain records as required for shipping
  • Organize/stage materials in the shipping yard
  • Shipping / Receiving
  • Organize trailer drops and pickups with various trucking companies
  • Load outgoing trailers accurately and safely in a timely fashion to meet site delivery requirements
