Tri-County Regional Centre for Education

The Tri-County Regional Centre for Education (TCRCE) encompasses the three (3) Counties of Shelburne, Yarmouth, and Digby serving approximately 6100 students in twenty-two (22) schools, composed of 13 Elementary Schools, 6 High Schools, 1 Middle School, and 2 Elementary/High Schools.

Qualifications
  • Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent designation in a recognized course of study in administrative support or related field;
  • Knowledge and experience working in a unionized environment;
  • Knowledge and experience in SAP;
  • Ability to work under pressure with deadlines;
  • Effective interpersonal and time management skills;
  • Accurate word processing and spreadsheet skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point;
  • Completion of WHMIS and First Aid, or willingness to obtain upon hire.

Accountabilities

➔ Data Review & Data Entry

  • Assisting with Seniority List Preparation
  • SAP Hiring Entries for casual employees: New Hires, Concurrent Hires and Re-Hires
  • SAP Termination Entries for casual employees
  • SAP Correction Entries: Addresses, banking information, taxation, etc
  • Cross referencing SAP Worksheets with Paper files
  • Monitor and track Payroll Data changes in excel for processing by payroll
  • SAP Changes of Pay Entries: Increments, Economic Increases
  • Complete personnel tasks specific to start of school year/ end of school year

➔ Personnel Files Oversight

  • Ensuring new-hire forms are collected and filed
  • File creation and labeling: New Hires
  • Record Retention Management with current employee files: sorting, shredding, organizing

➔ Human Resource Specific Tasks

  • Organize and complete TCRCE Monthly Employee Data report for Director
  • Contacting Candidates during hiring season and arranging interviews
  • Completing reference checks for Education Hiring Team

➔ FOIPOP Assistant

  • Completing task-specific work as directed by Coordinator, FOIPOP (collecting respondent matches, pulling transcripts, redaction)

➔ Front Desk Coverage

  • On the front desk lunch coverage rotation team: sorting mail, answering phones

➔ Various Projects as determined and required

  • Streamlined SAP Process & creation of New Documents
  • PIIDPA Report Project
  • Organize and complete Finance Report/ pulling data/ reporting/ categorizing/ printing

➔ Miscellaneous tasks as required

  • Filing
  • Applying postage and delivering mail
