Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Reach Operator to join our warehouse team. Our Langley warehouse is very clean and organized. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating of a reach truck and picking orders, to efficiently manage inventory and support warehouse distribution operations. This role requires mechanical knowledge, attention to safety, and the ability to perform heavy lifting tasks. The Reach Operator will play a vital role in maintaining smooth warehouse functions and ensuring accurate order picking and inventory management using warehouse management systems. Serious candidates with good experience will be given priority and top wage.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate reach trucks to move materials within the warehouse
  • Load and unload goods from trucks, pallets, or storage areas with precision and safety
  • Perform order picking accurately using warehouse management systems and manual methods
  • Assist with inventory control by organizing stock and maintaining proper storage procedures
  • Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns
  • Support warehouse distribution activities by ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment
  • Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during heavy lifting or equipment operation

Experience

  • Previous experience operating a Reach in a warehouse environment is preferred
  • Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order picking processes
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations related to weights, measurements, and inventory counts
  • Experience with heavy lifting and physical tasks in a fast-paced warehouse setting is desirable
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures related to Reach operation and warehouse operations

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
