Inventory Control Specialist

We specialize in Canadian and world coins, paper money, and bullion — serving collectors worldwide with integrity, knowledge, and care.
We're looking for a detail-driven, motivated Inventory Control Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has exceptional attention to detail, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in accuracy and organization. This role is essential to keeping our inventory processes running smoothly — from receiving and processing new items to maintaining precise digital records.
Over time, this position will also include purchasing items directly from the public, requiring professionalism, product knowledge, and excellent customer service.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- One Saturday per month on rotation, 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
This is a full-time, on-site, permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming inventory, ensuring accuracy in product details and counts
- Enter and maintain data in our inventory management system with a high level of precision
- Research products (including coins, paper money, and collectibles) to verify authenticity and market value
- Use Microsoft Office to generate reports, track inventory, and communicate updates
- Navigate and manage web-based systems with confidence and efficiency
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to maintain smooth workflow
- Provide excellent customer service when corresponding with clients or assisting the public
- Assist with purchasing items from the public, ensuring fair and accurate evaluations
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and ensure product integrity
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
- Strong internet and computer navigation skills
- Passion for research and ability to locate reliable information quickly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision — a true self-starter
- High level of accuracy in all tasks
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
- Numismatic knowledge is a strong asset but not required
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and able to pass a criminal record check
