Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Radio Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding and interest of telecommunications, with hands-on experience in programming, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting radio communication systems. This role requires the ability to work with low voltage systems and a solid foundation in vehicle, electrical knowledge.

Duties

  • Program, instal, service and maintain radio communication equipment and systems. for customers
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues related to radio transmissions and reception.
  • Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to conduct repairs and installations.
  • Provide training and guidance to clients in all aspects of the use of their 2Way radio and POC equipment
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal performance of telecommunication systems.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on radio equipment.
  • Proactively meet with clients for service calls both at Sundance service shop and client's place of business
  • Document all work performed, including repairs, installations, and system upgrades.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to industry standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in the 2way Radio or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with hand tools effectively.
  • Experience with vehicle electrical systems is essential.
  • Must have experience in computer programs and a strong aptitude for information technology
  • Must have a driver's license with a good driving record and must be familiar with the city of Calgary
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
