Position Overview
The CFO Centre is seeking an entrepreneurial and results-driven Regional Director to build and lead the Montreal region. In this role, you will grow a client base, build and lead a high-performing team of part-time CFOs, and serve as a trusted advisor to ambitious SMBs.
This position blends autonomy with the strength of a proven global model. You will leverage your network and business acumen to expand the company's presence in the region while delivering meaningful impact to clients. With the mindset of a CEO and the heart of a coach, you will drive growth, foster a high-performance culture, and cultivate long-term relationships.
Fluency in both French and English is required to effectively serve clients and lead teams in the Montreal market.
Key Responsibilities
Business Strategy & Growth
- Build and grow a high-potential Montreal region with a focus on strategic objectives and revenue growth.
- Engage with new business prospects, develop leads, and convert them into long- term clients.
- Establish a strong local network and drive brand visibility in the region.
Leadership & Coaching
- Recruit, develop, and support a high-performing team of part-time CFOs.
- Lead, inspire, and mentor the team to deliver exceptional client experiences.
- Foster a collaborative culture focused on growth, accountability, and long-term retention.
Client-Centric Approach
- Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring services directly support clients' growth and aspirations.
- Listen actively, ask insightful questions, and tailor solutions to each client's needs.
Sales & Network Building
- Build relationships with local professionals, organizations, and industry leaders.
- Drive business development initiatives with a strong track record in sales and negotiation.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Canadian CEO, fellow Regional Directors, and the national team.
- Contribute to a global network, sharing insights and best practices to drive overall success.
Qualifications
Skills & Experience
- Proven success in business development and sales, ideally within the SMB market. Experience in a senior leadership role (CFO, CEO, COO, or equivalent).
- CPA designation is required.
- MBA or operational executive background is highly desirable.
- Fluent in French and English, with the ability to communicate effectively across both languages.
- Track record of leading and motivating high-performing teams. Strong understanding of commercial finance and business strategy.
- Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills. Organized, dependable, results-driven, and entrepreneurial in mindset.
- Ability to work remotely within the region while managing a remote team. Comfortable operating in a commission-based model, motivated by building a business with high earning potential over time.
