Your role and responsibilities:As a Quantum Scientist—Content and Education at Xanadu, you will be helping to bring quantum computing—a cutting-edge society-transforming technology—to the world. Focusing on our open-source quantum computing software PennyLane, you will develop exciting high-impact content read by thousands of scientists, developers, educators, and students each month.
In this role, you will:
Produce engaging and accessible content in the topic areas of quantum computing, quantum machine learning, quantum compilation, quantum chemistry, quantum error correction, and quantum programmingWrite compelling tutorials, demos, how-to guides, blogs, documentation, webpages, and educational materials for both technical and non-technical audiencesHelp design and write technical documentation for our open source software libraries, to make them accessible and easy-to-useWork collaboratively with members of Xanadu's development, research, product, and marketing teamsBasic qualifications & experience:Undergraduate degree in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical fieldExperience working in quantum computing or quantum scienceExperience communicating scientific concepts to both technical and non-technical audiencesExperience developing content using diverse formats: text, images, blog posts, tutorials, code, challenges, puzzles, etcDemonstrated interest and commitment to education, outreach, and community buildingComfortable working with PythonAbility to operate in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing prioritiesExcellent communication abilitiesVery strong attention to detailPreferred qualifications & experience:Graduate degree in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical fieldExperience with quantum software libraries, e.g., PennyLane, QiskitFamiliarity with the broader quantum computing software and hardware landscapeExperience with social media (Twitter, Linkedin)Experience with Search Engine Optimization techniquesOur values are important.
