You As a Project Manager Will
- Provide overall construction management from pre-construction to completion including design, coordination, budget, and schedule in conjunction with the Superintendent
- Prepare regular, timely and accurate billings for Owners, and ensure timely payment of subcontractor billings.
- Maintain transparent and regular communication with clients, management, and all project stakeholders, providing timely updates on progress, addressing concerns, and facilitating productive working relationships
- Develop and control project budgets, prepare accurate cost estimates, oversee monthly progress billing, manage cost reports, and implement effective cost control measures to ensure projects maintains a positive cashflow
- Create comprehensive construction timelines with clear milestones, continuously monitor progress, update schedules as needed, and implement strategies to mitigate delays
- Mentor and support the professional growth of team members by providing guidance, sharing expertise, and fostering opportunities for career development within the project team
- Oversee the selection and management of subcontractors and suppliers, evaluate bids, negotiate terms, and ensure timely delivery of materials and services to support project schedules
- Submit project reports to Area Manager and communicate with management about project progress and areas of risk that need to be escalated
Is this the right role for you?
- You are interested in pursuing career opportunities in Austin, Dallas and West Texas.
- You have an engineering degree and 8 to 15 years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience working on large projects.
- Experience in healthcare, higher education, and civic-governments projects is preferred.
- You have a working knowledge of construction scopes and activities, scheduling, project management and contract software.
- You have the ability to confidently mentor and delegate to a large team while developing and maintaining strong client relations.
