Job Title: IT & Hardware Service Technician

Job Type: [/Part-Time/Contract/On call]

Experience Required: 2+ years in IT hardware servicing

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled IT & Hardware Service Technician with hands-on experience in servicing laptops and desktops.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in repairing, replacing, and maintaining hardware components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair hardware issues in laptops and desktops, including:
  • Keyboard replacement
  • Display replacement
  • System board/motherboard replacement
  • Battery replacement and troubleshooting
  • Perform branding and BIOS configuration on motherboards after replacement
  • Maintain accurate service records and provide technical support to end-users
  • Test and ensure proper functionality of devices after repairs
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest hardware technologies and repair techniques

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in laptop and desktop hardware repair
  • Strong knowledge of motherboard replacement and branding
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware issues
  • Familiarity with BIOS settings, drivers, and firmware updates
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in computer hardware or related field (e.g., CompTIA A+, Dell/HP/Lenovo certified)
  • Experience with both consumer and enterprise-level devices

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Casual, Freelance

Pay: $19.00-$35.00 per hour
