Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP)

Position Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Volunteer Tax Preparer to support our Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) for tax year 2025. If you have experience in accounting or financial services and enjoy helping others, we welcome you to join our team in making a difference for individuals and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

* Communicate with clients regarding missing documents, tax planning, and return reviews

* Enter tax information accurately and complete required forms

* Organize and maintain client paperwork

* Update and manage client information in our database

Qualifications & Skills:

* Prior experience in tax preparation or accounting

* Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate tax returns

* Proficient with computers and data entry

* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Training & Support:

All volunteers will receive training through the CVITP to ensure readiness for the role.
