Electromagnetic Wire Rope Technician I

Acuren Group is currently seeking an entry-level Electromagnetic Wire Rope Technician I to join our growing team in Saskatchewan. In this role, you will focus on electromagnetic (EM) testing of wire ropes used in cranes, hoists, mining equipment, cableways, and other mission-critical lifting systems.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will work closely with other CBM specialists and Reliability engineer to add value to the clients Wire Rope Inspection Programs and Predictive Maintenance Program.
- Collect and interpret EM data results using specialized tools and software.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate electromagnetic inspection tools.
- Prepare accurate, client-ready technical reports and communicate findings effectively.
- Assisting in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment failures.
- Travel to client sites throughout the region (company vehicle provided).
- Comply with all safety procedures and industry standards in the field.
- Work full time with some overtime expected.
- Certification and training opportunities provided.
- Recent diploma or degree in engineering technology (mechanical, electrical) or engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Windows, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable with physically demanding work in industrial environments.
- Written and verbal English competency is required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Valid driver's license and clean drivers abstract. Willingness to travel
