Overview

Turtle Jacks Oakville is seeking an experienced Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional guest service skills and a passion for hospitality. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an enjoyable dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize flow and minimize wait times.
  • Maintain an organized waiting list and communicate wait times accurately to guests.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest inquiries and addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
  • Assist with phone etiquette, taking reservations, and answering questions about the menu or restaurant services.
  • Keep the host area clean and organized, ensuring menus and promotional materials are up-to-date.
  • Utilize POS systems for managing guest orders when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant is required
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy setting.
  • Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
  • A friendly demeanor with a genuine desire to provide exceptional customer service.

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
