This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet..
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on trucks and trailers to identify and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
- Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, brake inspections, and tire replacements.
- Repair and replace faulty components using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Maintain accurate service records for all maintenance and repairs performed.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and the operations team to resolve complex mechanical problems.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety standards and provincial regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by clearly explaining repair needs and recommendations.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment and shop tools safely.
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid 310T Truck and Coach Technician License (mandatory).
- Proven experience as a Truck Mechanic or Heavy-Duty Mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, braking systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Welding and fabrication skills are an asset.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks and heavy lifting.
