Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Synthetic Chemist located in the Greater Edmonton Metropolitan Area. The Synthetic Chemist will be responsible for conducting laboratory experiments, performing quality control, and developing research projects. They will work closely with R&D teams to design and synthesize novel compounds, analyze data, and document results. The Synthetic Chemist will also be involved in maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Qualifications
- Strong Laboratory Skills and Quality Control abilities.
- Exceptional Analytical Skills and proficiency in conducting Research and Development (R&D).
- Experience in Research within the field of synthetic chemistry.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Chemistry or related field preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience in medicinal chemistry or drug design is a plus.
