Overview

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth transaction processes within our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospital or pharmacy settings, with a strong focus on patient care and medical terminology. Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors professionally and courteously at the point of sale or service
  • Process payments accurately using cash registers or electronic payment systems
  • Verify patient information and insurance details as needed
  • Assist patients with inquiries related to billing and payments
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Support pharmacy technicians by handling medication-related transactions when applicable
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the cashier area
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to facilitate efficient patient flow and service delivery

Skills

  • Prior experience in hospital or pharmacy cashier roles preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration processes is a plus
  • Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach to customer service
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Familiarity with medical billing systems and insurance processing is advantageous
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Professional appearance and demeanor, with a focus on patient confidentiality and privacy

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
