Compensation & Benefits

  • Live-In Shift (24 hour shift): $620 per shift (paid at a fixed day-rate).
  • Day Support Shift (12 hour shift): $420 per shift ($30.00 an hour, including overtime).
  • Overnight Awake Shift (12 hour shift): $470 per shift ($30.00 an hour, including overtime + flat $50 shift premium).
  • All hourly training shifts are paid at $25 per hour.
  • Group benefit enrollment after 90 days of employment - Aeon covers all monthly premiums.

  • Group benefit savings plan enrollment after 90 days of employment:

    • 3 months of employment to 1 year of employment: 5% employee contribution and 5% employer contribution.
  • 1 year of employment to 3 years of employment: 7% employee contribution and 8% employer contribution.
  • 3+ years of employment: 8% employee contribution and 10% employer contribution.

Job Description

Provide emotional, physical and social support while delivering a high standard of care to our clients. Our support workers will promote the advancement of life-skills, foster cultural and community connections, and assist with daily routines while maintaining a functioning household. Team members will work in small, tight-knit groups, requiring strong interpersonal and social skills.

**As of June 10th, 2025, Aeon provides support to adult clients aged 19 and older. This Support Worker position requires candidates who are willing to work with youth-aged clients and adult-aged clients.

Experience

  • Prior experience or education is a benefit, but we also consider candidates with more general life experience and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • A diploma in Human Services or a related field and/or experience working with clients at risk and/or appropriate life experience.
  • 1 year+ experience is an asset.

Required Skills/Certificates

  • Documentation skills (maintaining records and regular computer use).
  • Reliable transportation.
  • WCB recognized Basic First-Aid (formally known as OFA Level 1) or approved equivalent.
  • FOODSAFE Level 1.
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License or out of province/country equivalent.
  • Considered candidates will be required to submit a clean driving abstract.
  • Approved criminal record check.
  • If during the previous five years you have lived outside Canada for more than six continuous months, an out of country criminal record check is required.
