Join us as we shape the future of AI and beyond.  Together, we advance your career.   THE ROLE: Central DFX (CDFX) is a centralized ASIC design group within AMD's Technology and Engineering organization.  The group consists of design teams located in several AMD locations in North America and Asia.  It is primarily responsible of architecture, design and implementation of critical Design-for-Test (DFT) and Design-for-Debug (DFD) features for leading edge AMD products.  It is also responsible for DFX design methodology and automation tools development to support the global DFX engineering teams across AMD.The Program Manager in CDFX will be involved in various aspect of design project management from concept to first silicon bring-up, including interaction with executives and senior management team and internal cross functional teams.  The person will be be accountable to drive schedules, resources, status, and cross functional alignment of engineering tasks. THE PERSON: As a program manager, you will be working with a diverse team of design engineers and managers from various global design locations to coordinate and drive project execution, and strategic initiatives.  Work is strategic in nature but hands-on work on tactical matters is expected.   This role provides an excellent growth opportunity for robust individuals looking to make a difference.The following items highlight a successful candidate:Excellent organizational, leadership and interpersonal skillsExcellent verbal and written communication and strong presentation skillsSelf-starter, result-driven and disciplined with a dedication to meeting deadlinesHas an aptitude to thrive in a fast-paced multi-tasking environmentUsed to working independently, and yet can work collaboratively with various levels and organization functions.Solid technical background in semiconductor industryKEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Define, plan and drive program plans based on management and senior technical guidance; tasks include driving project scoping, budgeting, scheduling and execution progress trackingWork with cross-functional IP and SOC design teams on project plan alignment and strategic initiative planningCommunication is critical part of this role which includes:Executive level communications on status, explanation of tactical details and problem resolutionsInterpreting and understanding business directions, and recommending solutions regarding program situationsWork with engineering management to drive execution excellence, including key metrics - performance, schedule, cost and qualityWork collaboratively with AMD Program Management community on continuous process improvement; initiates significant changes to existing processes and methods to improve project and team efficienciesPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:  Relevant semiconductor product development experienceDemonstrated leadership and works well with cross-functional teamsExcellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge in EDA tools/methodology, such as synthesis, scan-insertion, equivalency checking, static timing analysis is a plusExperience managing various medium to large projects, moderate to high complexity (2-3 yrs duration/>50 cross functional team sizePossesses specialized knowledge plus a broader technical knowledge in areas outside his or her area of expertise.ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Minimum B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)LOCATION:Markham, ON#LI-MF2#LI-HYBRID Benefits offered are described:  AMD benefits at a glance.AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
