Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various security situations. This role is vital in maintaining a secure environment through proactive monitoring and enforcement of safety protocols.

Duties

  • Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches
  • Utilize surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to observe and record activities within the premises
  • Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, providing appropriate action or escalation as needed
  • Enforce loss prevention measures by monitoring access points and preventing unauthorized entry or theft
  • Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes
  • Assist visitors and staff with security procedures and provide directions when necessary
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures to uphold a secure environment

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is preferred
  • Knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, and loss prevention techniques
  • Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff, visitors, and law enforcement personnel
  • Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond quickly when required
  • Valid security license or certification as mandated by local regulations is a plus
