Overview

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Snow Shoveler to assist with winter weather maintenance & potential position for summer months. This role involves clearing snow from walkways, driveways, and other outdoor areas to ensure safety and accessibility. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment related to outdoor maintenance. Prior experience in landscape maintenance & snow removal gardening, or horticulture is a plus, but not required. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, contributing to the safety and functionality of the property during winter months.

Duties

  • Clear snow and ice from walkways, driveways, parking lots, and other designated areas using shovels, snow blowers, or other mechanical tools
  • Apply salt or de-icing agents to prevent ice formation and ensure safety
  • Operate equipment such as excavators or power tools as needed for snow removal tasks
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning
  • Maintain safety standards by using hand tools and mechanical equipment properly and wearing appropriate protective gear
  • Collaborate with team members to complete snow removal efficiently and effectively
  • Customer service skills

Experience

  • Prior experience with landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, or construction is advantageous
  • Mechanical knowledge related to operating hand tools, power tools, or small machinery such as excavators is preferred
  • Experience in outdoor physical labor requiring the use of hand tools and mechanical equipment is beneficial
  • Ability to work in cold weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods

This role requires a proactive attitude, strong physical stamina, and a commitment to safety. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in winter weather conditions and possess the necessary skills to operate various tools effectively.

Job Type: Seasonal

Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
