Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, supporting food preparation, and ensuring that all kitchen operations run smoothly. This position is essential for maintaining high standards of hygiene and assisting chefs in delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Duties

  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment promptly and efficiently.
  • Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes as directed by chefs.
  • Ensure that all food handling and safety standards are adhered to at all times.
  • Help with the organization of kitchen supplies and inventory management.
  • Support the culinary team during busy service periods by providing timely assistance as needed.
  • Clean work areas, floors, and storage spaces to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Participate in regular cleaning schedules for kitchen equipment and appliances.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not required; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
  • Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations is an advantage.
  • Experience in food preparation or cooking is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided.
  • A background in hospitality or food service will be considered a plus.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment are essential qualities for success in this role.
