Red Deer Hospice is a residential end of life care facility where compassion, connection and comfort are at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to providing a peaceful and compassionate end of life journey with support for our residents and their loved ones.
Located in the quiet area of Anders on the Lake with the beautiful Memorial Gardens across the street, the Hospice has 16 comfortably appointed individual resident rooms with a hospital bed and a living-room style seating area with a pull-out couch, chairs, and television with cable. The rest of the house includes a kitchen, multiple family sitting areas and a sanctuary, along with multi-purpose rooms for respite care, education opportunities and day programs. Professional nursing care is provided 24 hours a day as well as companionship, bereavement and spiritual support.
Licensed Practical Nurse (casual)
Red Deer Hospice is currently seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
You will use your skills and compassion in performing various procedures, observing, monitoring, reporting, and documenting changes in physical, mental or emotional state to ensure optimum resident care.
Qualifications:
You will have an active registration with the CLPNA and current first aid with CPR. As a vital member of our team, you will apply your excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. You will also have the ability to work independently at a high pace and can easily adapt to change. Experience in palliative or hospice care is an asset.
