Here's how a District HRPD Advisor 2 for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities
  • Implement and support national HR programs, policies, and processes in alignment with sector and company strategy and priorities.
  • Analyze HR metrics and workforce data to identify trends and risks, providing strategic recommendations and executive summaries for senior leadership.
  • Lead talent acquisition strategies to support national growth and strategic resourcing, including full cycle recruitment for senior and international talent.
  • Support HR teams across Canada with annual processes such as performance management, compensation review, and succession planning.
  • Plan and execute projects across key HR focus areas—including Engagement, Onboarding, Mobility, and Wellness—while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead and support change management to ensure successful implementation of HR initiatives.  
  • Provide short term full cycle human resources support to districts as needed.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in human resources or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of progressive human resources experience. 
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of HR related principles, practices, procedures, and employment legislation.
  • Proven ability to drive change and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, present ideas and content that influences a favorable outcome.
  • Ability to research, analyze information and data, and make recommendations. Able to work independently or in a team environment in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Seen as a trusted advisor with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
