Overview

Carpenters construct, erect, install, maintain and repair structures and components of structures made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate project execution
  • Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, and roofing tasks with precision
  • Install cabinetry, flooring (including tile laying), siding, and perform construction painting as required
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks including carpentry and woodworking
  • Conduct plumbing and electrical work in compliance with safety standards and project specifications
  • Assist with heavy lifting and material handling to support project progress
  • Apply construction estimating skills to assist in project planning and resource allocation
  • Execute restoration projects maintaining high standards of quality and safety
  • Perform caulking, siding installation, assembly work, and other related duties as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction trades such as carpentry, masonry, roofing, siding, or related fields
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating processes
  • Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, CNC machines (preferred), and other construction equipment
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods
  • Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations in construction environments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work
  • Valid experience or certification in electrical or plumbing work is a plus
  • Maintenance Person experience or background in manufacturing is advantageous
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team on diverse projects requiring flexibility across multiple disciplines
