Who we're looking for:

We're looking for a Field Summer Student to join our all-star team to support our Peace Arch Assets. We're looking for:

  • A people person: We need someone who's a natural when it comes to building relationships—whether it's with customers, teammates, or anyone else you work with. You know how to connect, listen, and make people feel heard, especially when things get tough.
  • Flexible mindset: You're curious and flexible - the Swiss Army knife of capabilities. You thrive in situations where there isn't always a playbook and love coming up with creative ways to tackle challenges.
  • Organized and detail-oriented: You consistently maintain tidy and well-ordered work areas, demonstrating a commitment to cleanliness and efficiency. Your ability to manage inventory ensures resources are accounted for and easily accessible, supporting smooth operations and minimizing disruptions.
  • A problem solver who gets how things connect: You're someone who dives into data, breaking down complex problems, and finds logical, efficient solutions. You're the type of person who thinks in systems - seeing the big picture while making sure all the moving parts fit together smoothly. You naturally connect the dots, anticipate challenges, and find the best way through.

What you'll do:

  • Maintain the grounds by mowing grass and keeping the area looking great.
  • Install and maintain culvert markers to improve safety and accessibility around the site.
  • Update and replace road signs, ensuring right-of-way markings are clear and accurate.
  • Help with boneyard clean-ups and make sure everything is stored safely and efficiently.
  • Clean beneath grating in compressor buildings, ensuring these hard-to-reach areas are spotless and contribute to maintaining a safe, well-organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to organize and clean sea cans and workspaces.
  • Help maintain clean, well-organized workshops and storage areas.
  • Verify, clean, and organize inventory for key items like blinds, flanges, and drip trays.
  • Organize and maintain barrel docks, ensuring they're ready to support day-to-day operations.
  • Perform minor fencing repairs.

What we offer:

  • A culture of continuous learning and mentorship from the best in the business (and fun).

What you bring:

Required

  • Enrolled in a bachelor's degree or diploma program.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
