Brown's Industrial is a sales and service dealership specializing in Bobcat and Develon Heavy Equipment. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to join our maintenance team. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as a commitment to safety and efficiency

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, transmissions, engines, and drive trains.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify faults and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other mechanics and departments to prioritize and complete work orders.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance before returning to service.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform field repairs when necessary.

Role Requirements:

  • Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician, or a registered 3rd or 4th year HET apprentice with your own tools
  • Previous experience with repairs and maintenance on Bobcat equipment is considered an asset
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Strong work ethic with ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Able to work efficiently and as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • CVIP license would be an asset.
  • Class 1 or 3 license is an asset but not required
  • Candidate must have a valid Class 5 drivers license and provide a driver's abstract.
  • Candidate must also pass a Drug & Alcohol Test & Physical Demand Analysis.

Pay: $27.25-$43.25 per hour
