Career Services Coordinator

Position Summary
We are seeking a Career Services Coordinator to support students throughout their practicum placement and help them transition into the workforce. The successful candidate will coordinate with students, employers, and practicum hosts to ensure smooth placement operations and positive outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for students preparing for practicum placements.
- Assist with resume development, interview preparation, and workplace readiness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers and placement hosts.
- Match students with appropriate placements based on program requirements.
- Coordinate placement schedules, contracts, and related documentation.
- Track and maintain accurate placement records in the student management system.
- Prepare regular reports and updates for management.
- Support job fairs, networking events, and other career development initiatives.
- Provide excellent service and communication to students and employers.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Career Counseling, Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in coordination, administration, customer service, or recruitment (experience in a post-secondary or training environment is an asset).
- Strong organization and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of student management systems preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Timely placement of students into practicum/internship positions.
- High student and employer satisfaction with placement coordination services.
- Accuracy in reporting and documentation.
- Consistent follow-up and communication with students and employers.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Day shift
Work setting:
- In person / On-site
Experience:
- Coordination or recruitment: 1 year (required)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
