SCAFFEX Inc. located in the east end of Ottawa and we are looking for experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately processing invoices, maintaining customer accounts, reconciling payments, and preparing reports. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. We are looking for someone who is organized, efficient, and capable of meeting tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for the following:

  • Processing high volume of invoices and credit memos daily to clients.
  • Processing payments, refunds and adjustments including credit and debit cards.
  • Issuing monthly statements to clients.
  • Place reminder calls to clients for past due invoices.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and billing disputes.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer payments and account balances.
  • All other related duties as required.

Language Skills / Other Skills

  • Bilingualism (English / French) considered an asset.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Good math skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Post secondary education in accounting and/or equivalent experience.
  • Working towards CPA designation would be a definite asset, but not mandatory.
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years of experience in accounts receivable in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience doing billing in a construction environment considered an asset.

Computer Skills

  • Good working knowledge of MS Office especially Excel.
  • Able to learn new software programs quickly considered an asset.

Pay: $49,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
