Journeyperson Plumber

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in plumbing and mechanical systems, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role requires proficiency in various plumbing tasks, including installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings.

Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures, including pipes, fittings, and water heaters.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine layout of plumbing systems.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete plumbing tasks effectively.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with HVAC technicians to integrate plumbing with heating and cooling systems.
• Perform heavy lifting as required for installation and repair tasks.
• Execute basic carpentry work related to plumbing installations.
• Apply basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a plumber with a strong understanding of plumbing codes and regulations.
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems and a gas ticket is a plus.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $44.00-$47.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
