Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for employees, and maintaining compliance with company policies and legal regulations. This role requires proficiency with various payroll and accounting software systems and strong data entry skills The Payroll Administrator will play a critical role in supporting the organization's financial accuracy and employee satisfaction.
Duties
- Process payroll using systems such as Ceridian
- Ensure accurate data entry related to employee hours, wages, deductions, and benefits
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare reports for management review
- Maintain and update employee records within payroll systems
- Manage accounts payable and receivable related to payroll transactions
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities including account reconciliation
- Support by providing payroll data for audits and compliance purposes
- Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure proper bookkeeping practices are followed
- Stay current on payroll laws, tax regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- Proven experience with payroll processing using platforms such as Ceridian or similar systems
- Strong knowledge of accounting software including QuickBooks or comparable tools
- Familiarity with accounts payable/receivable processes and account reconciliation
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analysis skills to interpret payroll data and resolve discrepancies effectively
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
