POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to a Public Works Operations Supervisor, the Public Works Operator/Labourer is part of a dynamic team supporting the regions of Public Works & Water / Wastewater distribution and collection. The Public Works Operator/Labourer is responsible for supporting the team in all aspects of Public Works Operations including but not limited to snow removal, water/wastewater, streets, and general labour tasks. This rewarding position is key to keeping the streets safe for the community. Come play an important role in making this great community what it is.

What we're looking for:

  • Grade 12 Diploma, or GED equivalent
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work in high pressure situations with tight deadlines
  • Nova Scotia Class 5 Driver's License, clean drivers abstract
  • Capable of fulfilling the Physical Job Function for the position (Discussed in interview)
