Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Director for our newest childcare centre in Clairmont, AB. The Program Director will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with the Alberta Child Care Licensing Regulations , and lead a team of educators in delivering exceptional early learning programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all provincial regulations, licensing requirements, and Alberta Health & Safety standards.
• Supervise, mentor, and support educators and staff.
• Oversee curriculum planning, program implementation, and continuous improvement.
• Foster an inclusive, safe, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff.
• Maintain strong communication and relationships with families, community partners, and regulatory bodies.
• Manage centre operations, budgets, invoicing and documentation requirements.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of staff.

Qualifications:

• Must be a level 3 Registered Early Childhood Educator
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in licensed childcare.
• Experience with all age groups 0-12 years of age
• Strong knowledge of Alberta Licensing Regulations and Flight Framework.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with families, staff, and community stakeholders.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification and clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check.

Expected hours: 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Clairmont, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

• leadership experience in licensed childcare: 2 years (preferred)
