Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server/Server Assistant to join our dynamic team in the food service industry. Position for the candidate will be decided based on their experience in the hospitality and food and beverage industry. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our servers and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests. This position requires a strong commitment to hospitality, food safety, and exceptional customer service. A server assistant has the potential to become a server after some time as an assistant, provided they demonstrate confidence and ability to be a server.

Duties

  • Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to tables promptly and accurately.
  • Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables and clearing dishes.
  • Support with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding orders and special requests from guests.
  • Provide assistance to guests by answering questions about the menu and offering recommendations when necessary.
  • Monitor guest needs throughout their dining experience to ensure satisfaction.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of menu items, food handling practices, and customer service techniques.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of German and Central European cuisine is preferred.
  • Knowledge of German language is preferred, but not required.
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A passion for hospitality and helping others enjoy their dining experience.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, primarily Thursday and Friday evenings and weekends.
