Our organization is a community-based, non-profit society providing independent housing for seniors and individuals with disabilities. We are seeking an energetic, team-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team on a part-time basis hours per week).

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician ensures the building's interior and exterior are well-maintained through timely repairs and upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and safety checks.
  • Complete minor and major repairs in buildings and equipment.
  • Repair doors, locks, and closets.
  • Basic plumbing fixtures.
  • Maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
  • Respond promptly to tenant maintenance requests.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license required.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and bondable.
