Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation, and maintaining a positive work environment. Duties

  • Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities.
  • Supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring quality and consistency in all dishes served.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
  • Manage inventory, minimize waste through effective kitchen management practices.
  • Train new kitchen staff on food handling techniques, cooking methods, and safety protocols.
  • Foster a positive team environment by promoting collaboration, communication, and professional development among kitchen staff.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a culinary role in a restaurant setting.
  • Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation skills.
  • Line leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices for handling ingredients.
