Position overview:

The Repair Technician will be responsible for providing support for a wide range of technical issues. Performing troubleshooting and repairs related to hardware, operating systems and other electrical items.

Responsibilities:

  • Resolving technical issues with PCs, laptops and servers
  • Conducting board-level repairs and proficiently executing soldering tasks.
  • Diagnosing and repairing both hardware and software malfunctions as well as the maintenance of computer systems
  • Installation of software
  • Replacing hardware components, hardware configurations, troubleshooting network
  • Repairing defective products such as laptops, desktops etc.
  • Conducting product testing
  • Installing upgrades on products
  • Other duties as assigned

Key Competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Knowledge of computer parts and accessories
  • Excellent working knowledge of:
  • Microsoft operating systems
  • PC Hardware
  • Common peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, internet routers and etc.
  • TCP/IP networking
  • Internet technologies
  • Common office applications

Job Specifications:

  • 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • A+ certification preferred
  • Knowledge in various diagnostic tools
